The Chinese Guardian Lions or Foo Dogs (“Foo” refers to the Chinese auspicious word “Fu”) are a symbol of power and protection. They can be found in all countries where the Chinese have settled. Foo dogs are also created into a figurine or amulet.

Foo dogs are a reminder to keep all negative energy away from the home. Many offices, shops, hotels and restaurants may place these Chinese guardian lions outside on either side of the entrance. They are believed to protect their business. They are meant to attract happy and satisfied customers and keep trouble makers away.

Present: This style of Foo Dog exactly comes from ones at Wat San Chao. Every day there are people coming to Wat San Chao to touch Foo Dog statue believed to bring a lot of money to their wallets.

About Temple:
Wat San Chao is a longtime well-known temple in Pathum Thani Province. “San Chao” means “shrine” because this temple has Lao Bun Thao Gong Shrine built and bestowed by “Grandpa Kimkoey” or famously known as “Pae Rong See”.

Besides, this temple had Luangpho Sorn, a famous guru monk as a former abbot. The present abbot is Luangpho Parn who is a close disciple of LP Sorn.
