Description: King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama the Ninth) was the longest-reigning monarch of Thailand (70 years and 126 days). Born on 5 December 1927, had reigned since 9 June 1946, and passed away on 13 October 2016. During his reign, he worked hard to develop Thai people’s welfare. Also good teachings and role model for his citizens to follow. That is why Thai people love and respect King Bhumibol very much.
This auspicious medal was created in 1999 by Wat Srisudaram. Got permission from the King to make as a token of his 72nd birthday anniversary.
On the front of medal has image of King Bhumibol with map in his hand and one holding a pencil and landscape background. Moreover, the back bears the logo of 72nd birthday anniversary together with 9 meaningful Chinese words to wish the King “long life”.
Power: Thai people believe tokens or amulets created into King Bhumibol hold auspiciousness in themselves even without any blessing because the King made a lot of virtues all his life, especially helping his citizens with pure endeavor. Moreover, there were experiences that Bhumibol token had saved the wearer from danger especially police and soldiers.
Ceremony: First holy blessing at Sanam Luang (royal field) in 1999 that 108 guru monks and 2,542 clergy joined the event. Second blessing on 7 April 2007 (Sao 5) at Wat Srisudaram, Bangkok.
