Wat Phra Srirattana Mahathat is the important temple of Suphanburi province where is about 600 years old. This temple has old brick pagodas assumed built before Ayutthaya Era. The main pagoda contains Buddha relics. Unfortunately, the pagodas were broken into by thieves for holy object inside. Therefore, today, Suphanburi Provincial Government takes part in looking after these historical architectures. In fact, Wat Phra Srirattana Mahathat is famous for Phra Kru (the Buddha amulets made in the past kept under the pagoda for a long time) well-known as Phra Phong Suphan.
