The Biography of LP Oun:
Luang Por Oun of Wat Tan Kong , Phetchaburi Province (9 March 1916 - 31 October 2010) was a guru monk who possessed powerful meditation and magical powers. Also, an expert in making efficacious amulets and making mantra powder like famous old monks in Thailand.
LP Oun was born on 9 March 1916. in Phetchaburi Province. In childhood, he studied at a temple. He went into Buddhist priesthood at the age of 20 at Wat Tan Kong . After that, he learnt magic and mantras from LP Phiew and LP Thongsuk of Wat Tanod Luang. In order to studying with LP Thongsuk, LP Oun had to walk from Wat Tan Kong to Wat Tanod Luang that was a long distance and spent 15 days at Wat Tanod Luang each time of going. Not only being a learner, but LP Oun also accompanied LP Thongsuk on pilgrimage in the forest. Later, LP Oun studied with LP Jan of Wat Maruekathayawan who was a relative of LP Thongsuk.
