About Guru Monk:

LP Koon Worapanyo, a Monkish Developer:

This is a good monk named ‘Luangpho Koon Worapanyo’. LP Koon is an abbot of Wat Banlang in Non Thai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Before coming to this temple, LP Koon set off on a pilgrimage called ‘Thudong’ from Buriram Province to Non Thai District, his hometown. Actually, he had never been here after ordination. When people met him, they were happy and asked him to stay longer in order to develop the temple (Wat Banlang) because temple was too old and had only two old monks. Hearing that, LP Koon accepted people’s invitation. Today, LP Koon has turned Wat Banlang to a developed temple with holy sculptures, museum and other permanent structures. Moreover, LP Koon preaches people meditation and dharma with knowledge he gained when practicing meditation with ‘Luangpho Lersi Lingdam’ (a famous meditation monk in Thailand) at Wat Tha Sung, Uthai Thani Province.
