Ceremony: Holy blessing ceremony on 22 March 2015 at Wat Phochai, Nong Khai Province. JowPhraKhunSomdejPhutthajarn, ecclesiastical chief of the East lit the main candle to open the ceremony. H.M. King Bhumibol granted the royal fire for the ceremony. 9 monks chanted. PhraThamMongkolRangsi, consultant of Nong Khai Province ecclesiastical chief put out the main candle to close the ceremony.
About Luang Por Phra Sai Buddha:
Luang Por Phra Sai is a holy Buddha image situated in Ubosot chapel of Wat Phochai, Nong Khai Province. Building this Buddha image is not common because men put fire to furnace continuously for 7 days. And day 8 at noon, an ascetic in white came and asked monk to help casting the Buddha image. When monk went, everybody could not believe their eyes; many furnaces and many ascetics there.
Wonderful Stories of Luang Por Phra Sai Buddha:
1. Many years ago, a man from different Province challenged Luang Por Phra Sai. He said if the Buddha image were really holy, the Buddha could make thunderbolt immediately. Then thunderbolt occurred wonderfully.
2. Luang Por Phra Sai saved two people from the fallen plane. This story happened in 1980. One of the two carried a small Luang Por Phra Sai statue (5-inch lap) on that day. He was safe after the accident and moreover the Buddha image was not damaged.
