Description: Somdej Toh (full name Somdej Phra Phutthajarn Toh Phromrangsi) is the timeless monk in Thailand like Luang Pu Thuad a senior. He was the past abbot of Wat Rakhang in Bangkok and the pioneer of Phra Somdej the number one amulet in Thailand with great protective power. Amulets created in Somdej Toh image usually have strong protection that could save people’s lives from fatal accidents and dangers.
**Real Experience: A man wearing Somdej Toh amulet was safe from the horrible crash in earlier year 2017 that minibus (he rode) slammed into a pickup truck causing devastating fire that killed drivers and 25 passengers. A man revealed minutes of his life “I’m conscious when the fire happened. Then I climbed out of the broken back of the minibus.”
Somdej Toh was born in the reign of King Rama I (early Rattanagosin period) on Thursday the 17th April BE 2331 (CE 1788). He got ordained as a novice in BE 2343 (CE 1800). He got ordained as a monk in BE 2350 (CE 1807). In BE 2407 (CE 1864), he was given a rank as Somdej Toh (Somdej is a word for a high-ranking monk). Somdej Toh passed away on Saturday the 22nd June BE 2415 (CE 1872) at age 85.

About Temple:
Wat Sra Long Ruer is one of must-visit temples for tourists, located in Kanchanaburi Province. This temple is obviously seen with the huge fantastic swan boat called “Ruer SuphanNaHong”, the biggest boat in the world. Moreover, there is the holy black Buddha statue called “Luang Por Yai Ong Dam” (assumed built in Uthong era or over 600 years old), big Somdej Toh image, the heaven and the hell exhibition and other interesting things.
Wat Sra Long Ruer was deserted about 150-160 years before people came in 1927 CE With a good location especially a big pond, people settled their homes and together adjusted the area by removing messy grass and renovating old buildings in the temple. When everything was finished, people invited monks to stay and named temple “Wat Sra Lorng Ruer” that means “a pond of a boat” and distorted in sound into “Wat Sra Long Ruer” like a present name.
