This Guruda amulet is retro style of one by LP Opasi (Arsom Bangmod or Wat Phuttha Bucha, Bangkok), a famous guru monk in the past.
The back of Garuda has words “ii-ti-su-ka-to” that means “a good comer and a good goer”.
Garuda (Krut), the mighty Avian God in Thai belief whose image evokes the feel of authority and respect. That is why Garuda is an emblem of Thailand. Garuda image is usually seen in Buddhist temples as a guardian. Also in Hinduism, Garuda is a vehicle of Narayana. He received a blessing from Lord Narayana to be immortal.

About Temple:
Wat Bowon or full name Wat Bowonniwet Vihara Rajaworavihara is a major temple in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is a center of the Thammayut Nikaya school of Thai Theravada Buddhism and has been a major temple of patronage of Chakri dynasty.
Wat Bowon is located near the Wan Chart Bridge and Banglamphoo Market. Prince Mahasakdipolsep, vice-king of the Third Reign, ordered the construction of this temple along with Wat Rangsisuthawas and it was built between CE 1824 to1832.
Wat Bowon is the residence of members of the royal family who enter the monkhood. It has been the residence of many the supreme patriarchs of the Buddhist Church in Thailand, and it is the site of Mahamakut Rajavittayalai, Thailand's first Buddhist institution of the high education.
