Information: Phra Kring is a very auspicious amulet. Thai people believe Phra Kring can make the wishes of the wisher come true, bring wealth, good luck, prosperity, happiness and safety to the worshiper and also make the worshiper recover from illness or diseases. One feature of Phra Kring is to have a metal bead inside that will have a sound when being shaken where the word “Kring” comes from.
In the reign of King Rama III, there was the spreading of cholera that killed many Thai people. Somdej Phrawannarat (LP Daeng) abbot of Wat Suthat, Bangkok blessed Phra Kring amulet in the water and gave out water to people. People who drank that water (including LP Daeng) could get over cholera.
Thai people believe holy water with Phra Kring can carry off illness and bad luck. You can make by yourself, first, prepare the clean water. Second, dip Phra Kring amulet in the water and chant Katha of Phra Kring. When finishing, take Phra Kring amulet out of the water. This holy water can be drunk for curing illness or used to wash face or body to remove bad luck.

About Temple:
Wat Bua Khwan is a longtime temple in Nonthaburi Province. At first was a monastery in the reign of King Rama V and later developed into temple by Phra Kru Preechachalerm, the founder on 24 June 1892. Formerly named ‘Wat Sakae’ and renamed ‘Wat Bua Khwan’ in order to honor ‘Mr. Bua Chunchiaw’ who donated the land to temple. Received Visungkaram* from King Rama IX on 24 January 1963.
