Description: Lai Namphee is a name of holy shiny black (sometimes green, white or sky blue) drippings of silica rock found in Uttaradit Province, Thailand. These silica drippings will become solid when it cools down.
Lek Namphee stone can become drippings at over 1,000 degree Celsius and melting it is not easy because people believe it is taken care by holy spirits, so before getting it, the doer must perform a ritual for permission, or the doer will be in fatal danger for example the stone exploded while melting and fakes of stone cut the doer’s skin.
Lai Namphee drippings are beautiful with shiny black color or maybe green, white or sky blue, so it is made as jewelry.
