Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

LP Pard, a Good Monk in Buddhists’ Hearts

Phra Kru Viboon Panyawat Thitipanyo or Luang Pu Pard of Wat Ban Groud was a revered guru monk of Burirum Province.
LP Pard was born in 2454 BE (1911 CE). He was a monk in way of Vispassana Gammathan (introspection meditation) that he always kept self-awareness all the time, an important Buddhist path. LP Pard began monkhood at age 22. Then he set his heart on Vispassna Gammathan and Tudong (pilgrimage). People said LP Pard had very strong mind power. That is why amulets LP Pard blessed are so powerful that amulet owners found wonderful experiences such as in luck and protection. Moreover, LP Koon Parisuttho (Wat Ban Rai, Nakhon Ratchasima Province) ever gave credit to LP Pard, said to a group of Buddhists who came from Buriram Province “Why didn’t you come to LP Pard at Wat Ban Groud, amulets of him are more holy than mine.”
LP Pard peacefully passed away on 5 January 2015 at age 104 after senility illness among sadness of disciples.
