History of Wat Rakhangkhositraram:
Wat Rakhangkhositraram Woramahavihara (Wat Rakhang) is situated on the Thonburi side, opposite Tha Chang Wang Luang Pier. Wat Rakhangkhositraram was originally called Wat Bang Wa Yai and was an ancient temple built during the Ayutthaya Period. King Taksin raised its status to that of a royal temple and had it used as the side of a Buddhist council to recompile the tripikata. In the First Reign , an ancient bell was discovered on the temple grounds and since that time the temple has been know as Wat Rakhang, or the Temple of the Bell. King Rama I have the bell, which has good tone, removed to the Wat Phrasrirattana Sassadaram.
The important buildings include the Golden Palace, where King Taksin and the Supreme Patriarch (Sri) resided, and the phra ubosot and tripitaka tower built in the First Reign and decorated with murals.
The Biography of LP Hin:
LP Hin was born in 9 November CE1899 at Cambodia. LP Hin was ordained when he was 21 years old at Cambodia after that LP Hin went around Cambodia for studying magic such as in Angkor Wat, Phra Tabong and other. Then LP Hin went into Thailand to respect Buddha’s footprint at Sara Buri Province and came back to Cambodia again. After arrived Cambodia, LP Hin decided to went into India but while traveling his frined was passed away in Thailand that made LP Hin must stay in Thailand. LP Hin traveled around Thailand such as Chaingmai, Sukhothai, and Ayutthaya Province. LP Hin lived in Ayutthaya at Wat Thang Luang for 11 years old because the abbot of temple is his friend. LP Hin studied the magic with LP Jong from Wat Na Tang Nok, LP Tuan from Wat Gloy and other magical experts. In BE2478 (CE1935), LP Hin heard the renown of Somdej Toh that LP Hin decided going to Wat Rakhang for respecting Somdej Toh. When LP Hin arrived to Wat Rakhang, he met LP Naak who was abbot of Wat Rakhang that LP Naak invited LP Hin to stay in Wat Rakhang. After that, LP Hin helped develop and restore temple by making many Phra Somdej to take money for developing and restoring. LP Hin passed away in 21 May BE2521 (CE1978)
