Amulets have been tied in Thai belief for a long time. Today, amulets are not only to worship, but also for trading that pleases both worshipers and sellers.
Here is the survey by Suan Dusit Poll from 1,126 responders between 11-15 September 2018.

56.86% of people say to respect and repose their trust. 25.01% of people say it is individual belief. 14.13% of people say it is Thai tradition. 4.00% of people say wearing as accessory.

70.30% of people wear. 29.70% of people do not wear.
3. Top Five of Amulets Thai People Like to Wear
47.79% of people wear LP Thuad. 21.90% of people wear Somdej Toh. 12.87% of people wear Buddha Sothon. 9.44% of people wear Phra PidTa LP Toh. 8.00% of people wear LP Nguen.
4. Source of Amulet Thai People Get from
32.15% of people get from their parents. 7.73% of people get from their seniors. 6.96% of people get from their relatives. 6.51% of people get from grandparents. 5.52% of people get from monks or from temples.
5. How Thai People Think about Amulet Market in Thailand
20.02% of people think it is business. 13.63% of people think selling amulet is not active. 12.26% of people think it is not standardized. 11.25% of people think it is place for ones who like.
