Khun Phantharakratchadet
Khun Phantharakratchadet (phan-tha-rak-rat-cha-det) or shortly called Khun Phan was a superb police and magic guru in Thai history. With his good boxing and magical knowledge, he was the only one police who defeated all robbers in the Southern and Central Thailand. Also, he made amulets, too.
Khun Phantharakratchadet was born on 18 February 2442 B.E. (1899 C.E.) in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. He was clever. He could pass primary grade 1 to grade 3 after 3 days in school. When he finished grade 4, he continued his study in Bangkok. In Bangkok, he learnt Muay Thai (Thai boxing) to protect himself and he did it very well although he was small. After that, he applied for the police school in Nakhon Pathom province. In school, he was chosen to teach classmates Muay Thai. As soon as he finished the police school, he worked as a police in Songkhla province, the South.
At that time, Songkhla province had many skilled robbers. Khun Phan had a mission to catch Suer Sang, a robber who broke the prison from Trang province. Khun Phan and two followers hunted Suer Sang for months and at last Suer Sang lost Khun Phan because Khun Phan used Muay Thai. In reality, martial art was not enough to catch Suer Sang because many robbers in the past knew magic and used it to protect themselves. That was not a problem for Khun Phan because he knew magic as well.
Khun Phan ever studied magic from 3 respectable and experienced guru monks:
1. Phra Arjarn Thongthao, Wat KowOor, Phatthalung province 2. Phra Arjarn Eiad, Wat Don Sala, Phatthalung province 3. Phra Arjarn Nam Chinnawaro, Wat Don Sala, Phatthalung province
Khun Phan caught many robbers and he became famous. After that, robbers moved to Central region. Famous robbers at that time were Suer Fai, Suer Mahesuan and Suer Dam for example. Khun Phan knew that those robbers were good at magic. So, he used magical sword to fight against them instead of a gun. Within 3 years, Khun Phan and group could clear up all robbers in the Central. Khun Phan became a super police.
Khun Phan got retired in 2505 B.E. (1962 C.E.) at age 63. He passed away on 5 July 2549 B.E. (2006 C.E.) at age 108.
