Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

Little Writer:D

Jao Khun Nor
is a monk in Thai history. He was born on 5 February 2440 B.E. (1897 C.E.) in Bangkok. Jao Khun Nor was a good monk whom Thai people respect. Before he became a monk, he was a royal page of King Rama the Sixth.

King Rama the Sixth

He was very loyal to the king. When King Rama the Sixth passed away in 2468 B.E. (1925 C.E.), in the funeral, Jao Khun Nor got ordained as a Buddhist monk to make merit for the king at Wat Tepsirin, Bangkok. He stayed at Wat Tepsirin until he passed away on 8 January 2514 B.E. (1971 C.E.) at the age of 74 and 46 years in monkhood. When Jao Khun Nor was alive, he taught people to see importance of precepts, meditation and wisdom.

When Jao Khun Nor was alive, he released some amulets. Amulets by Jao Khun Nor are still accepted by many people. People think amulets by Jao Khun Nor holy and good to collect.

Here are some interesting amulets by Jao Khun Nor.

This batch is built only 3,000 pieces. The purpose of this batch is giving disciples for free.  This batch, Jao Khun Nor was invited to officiate blessing ceremony.

2.    First Phra Somdej Amulet (Somdej Lang U)
This is an ideal amulet for people because it is made of holy powder and Jao Khun Nor well blessed by himself. The back of the amulet has “U”, a Yant character that stands for “Udom” or “Uttama” the name of the maker (Phra Udomsansophon) and means “the best”. This batch was built in middle 2512 B.E. (1969 C.E.). The head of the project was Phra Udomsansophon (a monk) and he invited Jao Khun Nor to bless the amulets.

The holy powder is made up of:
1.    Anointing powder left by King Bhumibol in 2508 B.E. (1965 C.E.)
2.    Joss stick ash in the grand blessing in 2508 B.E. (1965 C.E.)
3.    Old amulet powder

Notices: This Phra Somdej amulet has width: top 2 cm and bottom 2.2 cm and length 3.4 cm.  The color is white and yellow or yellow and gray.

3.     Jao Khun Nor Amulet (Phra Tri Phaki)

This amulet was built with the intention of the Young Buddhists Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage (Yuwaphutthiga Smakom) in 2513 B.E. (1970 C.E.).  The amulet has Jao Khun Nor imprint. The committee invited Jao Khun Nor to bless the amulets.  The amulet is made of old amulet powder from Wat Trimit, Bangkok and Jao Khun Nor also kindly gave his hairs to add to amulet powder. The blessing had 2 times and lasted for many months. First, amulets were blessed by Jao Khun Nor for 3 months.  Second, amulets passed grand blessing ceremony on 5 December 1970 C.E. Today, this amulet is regarded precious and expensive about ten thousand baht per one.
