Description: Phra Phutthajow Perd Lok, greatest amulet of the year that makes you close to Buddha. Supreme holy Buddha’s power bringing happiness, prosperity and all best blessings to your life. Don’t miss for any reason!
“Pang Perd Lok” is the word recalling the event that Lord Buddha’s returned to Earth after delivering a sermon to his dead mother in heaven.
In the seventh year after Lord Buddha’s enlightenment, he decided to give a sermon to his dead mother, Sirimahamaya, in Dusit heaven, so he stayed in the heaven for three months from “Khao Phansa” (Buddhist Lent) to “Ok Phansa” (the end of Buddhist Lent).
On Ok Phansa day, the 15th day of the 11th waxing moon, Lord Buddha had come back to Earth and made the miracle that all realms (heaven, human, and hell) can see each other while he was going down.
Next morning, the 1st day of the 11th waning moon, most citizens made a big "Tak Bat" (offering food to the Buddhist monk) as they had not seen Lord Buddha for almost three months. That event was originally called "Tak Bat Theworohana" or "Tak Bat Thewo" in order to celebrate coming back of Buddha and this merit-making event has been a festival in Thailand until now.
