Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

About Guru Monk:
LUANGPHO DEE is a clean monk who deserves respect. He was born on Thursday 9 September 2495 BE (1952 CE) in Phetchaburi Province. He first got ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2527 BE (1984 CE). LP Dee used to be an abbot of Wat Thachaikiri in his hometown. While being an abbot, he developed many things in Wat Thachaikiri. He gained so much respect from nearby people. At that time, every year after the end of Buddhist Lent, LP Dee usually led monks and novices to go on Tudong, a monk journey to develop Sati (consciousness) and Samathi (mindfulness) as well as to propagate Dharma of Buddha to people. The journey lasted for 1 month by walking in the remote area leaving modern society.
As LP Dee was abbot of Wat Thachaikiri, he was highly respected by soldiers in the army. When they had to go on a mission, they often invite LP Dee to sprinkle holy water on them for good luck and also asked LP Dee for talismans to protect themselves.
In 2547 BE (2004 CE), LP Dee decided to resign from monkhood because his mother got seriously sick and he was only one to look after her. Many people and monks did not want LP Dee to resign. But LP Dee had necessary because he considered if being a monk he could not look after his mother full-time. LP Dee tried his best to take care of his mother, however his mother died later.
After funeral of his mother, LP Dee came to Phetchaburi Province. He helped his disciple work because LP Dee ever promised him if he became a layman he would help work. LP Dee did what he promised.
With faith in Buddhism as foundation, LP Dee decided to be a monk again. It was delight for all disciples to see LP Dee return to monkhood. Second ordination took place in early 2014.
