Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

LP Nat, Wat Ao Yai Who Keeps on Magic of LP Kong, Wat WangSapphaRot:

Luang Por Nat, abbot of Wat Ao Yai, Trat Province was born on June 2nd, 1939 in Trat Province, the south of Thailand. His mother said before she was pregnant, dreamt of a male angel coming and saying her baby would be more intelligent than anyone and respected by people in the future.

When LP Nat was a child, he was naughty and liked to momorize the spells that he heard from the elderly and to associate with magic gurus. Gong Nuan who was a relative of LP Nat saw outstanding trait of LP Nat and taught all his magic to LP Nat such as protection, consecrating powder and wax or Si Phueng for charm , worshiping fire and exorcism.

After LP Nat fully understood magic from Gong Nuan, he often tested his knowledge by helping people who were obsessed by ghosts until he was trusted by people. At age 17, LP Nat met Mor Loy, a local doctor who knew magic. Mor Loy saw LP Nat was so interested, therefore he taught LP Nat his magic.
When LP Nat was 20, decided to be a monk, getting ordained at Wat Ao Yai in his hometown on June 2nd , 1959. After ordination, LP Nat studied mercy magic (Metta) and protection magic (Kong Kraphan) from Phra Kru Chom Tienchai, abbot of Wat Ao Yai at that time.

During 1970-1972, LP Nat traveled to Chanthaburi Province by walk to study magic from Luang Por Kong, abbot of Wat WangSapphaRot at that time.

**Luang Por Kong, Wat WangSapphaRot, Chanthaburi Province (death: September 23rd, 1989 at age 87 and 55 years in monkhood) was a very famous guru monk, contemporary with Luang Pu Tim, Wat Lahanrai , Rayong Province, but junior to LP Tim. LP Kong was one of the top guru monks around Thailand who were invited to perform the great blessing ceremony at Sanam Luang (the Royal Plaza), Bangkok in 2500 BE (1957 CE). Moreover, LP Kong traveled on a Buddist journey around Thailand and crossed to Myanmar and Cambodia to sharpen his magic especially Visha Suer Saming (mystical tiger magic) that he was very good at it, noticing almost amulets of LP Kong have a tiger image or Suer Saming. **

What LP Nat learnt from LP Kong was consecrating Tiger amulet and Phra Khun Paen. And the important magic was Shortening Distance that LP Kong taught LP Nat. *Today, there is sometimes mystery of Shortening Distance Magic of LP Nat that LP Nat likes disciples to set off before him, but when they get the place they see LP Nat is there already!

After that, LP Nat traveled to Cambodia to study magic from Luang Por Muek, Wat Koh Kong. LP Muek was an uncommon Cambodian guru monk. The Cambodian soldiers who carried holy balls (Look Om) from LP Muek were resistant to the bullets! And then LP Nat went to Luang Por Jae, Wat Bang Nam Priaw, Chachoengsao Province to learn Visha Nang Kwak or magic about business and also went to other experienced guru monks repeatedly.

The first medal of LP Nat was released in 1992 on the occasion of the new chapel opening at Wat Ao Yai, Trat Province.
