Purpose: to earn donations for restoring old weathered structures in Wat Sathitkirirom

Blessing Ceremony by LP Phoem (Phothan En) on 31 December 2015 until 1 January 2016 at Wat Sathitkirirom, Suratthani Province and again for 3 months in 2016.

LP Phoem (Phothan En):
This is Luang Por Phoem or frequently called “Phothan En” abbot of Wat Sathitkirirom (formerly Wat Khao Rahoo), Suratthani Province. LP Phoem is highly respected by people in Suratthani and other Southern Provinces of Thailand. He was born on 6 April 1931 in Suratthani, began novicehood when 19 at Wat Prakan, Suratthani. At age 20, ordained as a monk by LP Phua (Phua Gesaro) a preceptor at Wat Theekaram, Suratthani. After priesthood, LP Phoem or Phothan En devotes himself to propagating dharma as a preacher. Not only that, he is also a social leader in holding Buddhist ceremonies and a mainstay in developing and restoring Wat Sathitkirirom.

LP Phua (Phua Gesaro):
Luang Por Phua or in Pali “Phua Gesaro” (7 Dec. 1876 – 31 Jan. 1965) was an esteemed monk in the South, a former abbot of Wat Janpradittharam and Wat Sathitkirirom and an ecclesiastical chief of Kirirat Nikom district and a preceptor of Suratthani Province. LP Phua was a good monk. After preisthood, he set his heart on dharma and meditation. Also ever on a pilgrimage to Myanmar for meditation and to pay respect to Shwedagon pagoda.
