Name: Rak-Yom in Oil

What is Rak-Yom?
Rak-Yom is amulet in Thai belief. Rak-Yom are 2 small wooden boy figurines in sandalwood oil. Kinds of wood to make Rak-Yom are from the trees that died, but do not fall down usually called Tai Prai. Rak figurine is carved from crown flower wood or Mai Rak. Yom figurine is carved from Thai gooseberry wood or Mai Mayom. Names of them derive from names of wood. Rak means Love. Yom means Popular. Thai people think Rak-Yom amulet is another kind of Guman Thong that will protect and help owner in luck, money, business and fulfillment.
