The History of Wat Ban Krang:
Wat Ban Krang, Suphan Buri Province. This monastery is located on the west bank of the Tha Chin River and covering an area of 29 Rai (Thai measurement system) or approximately 11.6 acres. There is a very old monastery built in the Ayutthaya era and is over 450 years old. The main attraction of this monastery is Thai votive tablet “Khun Paen”. Somdej Phra Ponnarat of Wat Pa Keaw presided in this building and kept inside stupa of Wat Ban Krang for the Buddhist worship. The votive tablet “Khn Paen” made drom clay mixed with Kaolin using Ayutthaya design. There were 84,000 pieces the votive tablet had 41 kinds split to 27 kinds of single votive tablet and 14 kinds of twin votive tablet. The twin votive tablet is very important because it built for the memory of King Naresuan the great and King Phra Ekatosarot.
