The Sisaket Monastery was built in 1818 A.D.(2361 BE) by the king Anouvong, he was the last king of vientiane kingdom after 10 years about 1828 A.D. , It was occurred the war which under the king Anouvong to liberated indepence from the Siamese but didn’t accomplish, So the Siamese military toward to burned and destroyed Vientiane city eventhought wat Sisaket wasn’t damaged but stolen the Budhhist books, Almost 100 years to no people lived and the Vientiane city became the Jungle until prince phetsarat, he was renovated this temple this temple two time as 1923 to 1935 and kept the Bronze Buddha images from another temple to contained here and open the Museum in 1987 until current.
