3. To contribute the fund of supporting Buddhist affairs
Ceremony:
There were many top guru monks intensively blessed the Yant sheets and mass powder at Phutthamonthon, Nakhonpathom Province on Saturday the 5th May 2012. HRH Princess Soamsawali as the president of the ceremony poured liquid gold and then a party of guru monks blessed the Yant sheets and mass powder on Saturday the 26th May 2012 at the consecration place, Sanamluang, Bangkok.
Information of “The Buddhism Center of Thailand”:
The idea of building “The Buddhism Center of Thailand” began in 1984 by a party of monks and laypeople who cooperated to hold “The Annual Buddhist Week of Visakhabucha Day”. They thought it would be better if there was a Buddhist organization to support holding Buddhist activities or events, so they decided to build “The Buddhism Center of Thailand” and was officially open on the 3rd October 1986 by HRH Princess Sirindhorn as the president of the opening ceremony. The Buddhism Center of Thailand is located in Ladlumkaew District, Pathumthani Province and has 581 acres.
The Buddhism Center of Thailand has missions in:
1. To be the coordination center of holding “The Annual Buddhist Week of Visakhabucha Day” (since 1984) including supporting other Buddhist activities or events held by students and general people
2. To promote Buddhism via a radio and a television
3. To support the affairs of Mahamakut Buddhist University and Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University
4. To cooperate with Department of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Culture to select people including monks and laypeople who make advantages for Buddhism to receive a certificate from HRH Princess Sirindhorn in “The Annual Buddhist Week of Visakhabucha Day” at Sanamluang, Bangkok
5. To promote Buddhism by distributing printouts and tape cassettes or CD cassettes
