Lessons for collecting amulets!
First lesson!
Nowadays, there are many new amulet collectors in the market. Interestingly, there are many categories of amulet collectors in the market. Some collect amulet because there is a value attach to it. Some collect amulet as they are amazed at the miracles of the amulet which they have heard. To some, the amulet simply has a beauty in it and the ancient mystic aura that surrounds it. Unfortunately, some collectors do not have ample knowledge on how to collect genuine amulets. First of all, for the inexperience, the one sure way that it will be good if you can get to see a real piece of the amulet you want to collect before your purchase. The reason is obvious isn’t it? By viewing the real amulet actually provides you with the exact details for you to scrutinize the very piece that you are about to purchase. If you have never seen the real amulet before, you will not be able to compare the important details such as Imprint and Material of the amulet.
In this article, I would like to share my knowledge on the material of amulet. It can be divided into 4 different types such as:
1. Neua Wahn (herb) = the amulet made from herbs that Thais have been using for a long time. The reason is because the Thais believe that herbs have supernatural power for the purpose for invulnerable and auspiciousness. Moreover, the amulets that are made from soils and powder usually have herbs mix in it. A very good example is Phra Phong Jinda Manee by LP Jur-ah. However, the amulets that are made from herbs are far lesser compare to those that are made from other materials. Sad to say, it is a fact because the process of creating an amulet from herbs are extremely tedious and on top of that, the herbs are most difficult to find too. The clue to whether the amulet is made from herbs is in the color.

2. Neua Din (soil) = amulets that are made from soils are the most ancient used method in Thailand because soil is the easiest to find. Amulet makers who take the soil from sacred places to make amulet, believe that soil from sacred places contain holy energies.
There again, there are 2 ways of making amulet derived from soil such as: i. Baking ii. Drying under the sun

This amulet in particular to observe are the rifts (small dotted holes) it has in it. It doesn’t appear if it is newly made. However, the more ancient it is, the more rifts it will have.

However, most importantly, one should collect amulet to one’s like and respect most. The reason is because if you have the belief and respect in your amulet, it will reciprocate with a strength in which the amulet will generate energy to protect and bless you. I do hope you will get the real amulet that you like and respect so that it will bring a blissful life to you.
